Switching to Spontaneous Blogging

Frequently throughout the last year of blogging, I’d check in with myself.  I’d ask, “Are you still wanting to keep blogging weekly?”  Each time the answer would come  back, “Yes.”

I just asked myself the question again.  This time the answer was “I’m needing some more space in my schedule for some other activities.”

I’m now seeing that one of a multitude of needs for blogging was for accomplishment.  That need was met when I completed writing weekly for one year.

For now, I’d like to keep my blogging options open AND continue doing it more spontaneously.

I asked myself, “How about blogging every other week?”  Partly because I’m imagining your need for predictability.  (Even though that need may not be true for you.  It was my guess.) The answer keeps coming back …”I want to be spontaneous.  I want total freedom to write or not.”

My heart’s desire is important to me.  Or in St. Therese of Lisieux’s words, “I can nourish myself on nothing but truth.”

As much as staying true to ourselves – trusting our internal guidance – is what I’m advocating, I also want to be open to any reactions that you might be having to my decision.  I want to hear you.

So please let me know how my change is feeling to you.  Are there any unmet needs coming up for you?  For predictability or inspiration or connection or ???

And would you let me know if you have any requests of me based on your feelings and needs?

I appreciate hearing from you.  🙂

Love, Teresa

P.S.  One of my favorite spiritual teachers, Adyashanti, will be interviewed by Oprah on her show, Super Soul Sunday, airing on April 20th.  There are a few ways to watch the interview.  You can see it on Sunday at 11 a.m. Pacific time or later.  Check it out here.
